Question 1

How often does the lawn get cut?

Accepted Answer

Visits are weekly during peak growth from May through mid-July, then every 7–10 days for the rest of the season, with a longer interval during a late-summer dry stretch. Standing customers get a predictable cadence; weather or route conditions can move a visit by a day or two. Roberto texts the night before.

Question 2

What's included in a routine visit?

Accepted Answer

A routine visit includes mowing, string-trimming around fences, beds, foundations, and tight corners, hard edging along walks and drives, and clearing clippings from hard surfaces. The site describes clipping handling differently on its FAQ and pricing pages, so ask Roberto to confirm whether bagging or mulching is included for your quote.

Question 3

What happens to my visit when it rains or we hit a dry stretch?

Accepted Answer

When the yard is soaked, Roberto moves the visit to avoid ruts and torn grass; a passing storm may shift it by about a day, while longer rain moves it to the next dry opening. During a mid-summer drought, the lawn can go dormant, so the mowing cadence may stretch to every 10–14 days. Standing customers are rescheduled.

Question 4

When should I book spring and fall cleanups?

Accepted Answer

The site recommends spring cleanup around mid-March, once the ground firms up and new growth appears. Fall cleanup runs from mid-October through late November, paced around leaf drop and the final cut before hard frost. Reaching out a couple of weeks ahead helps hold a slot.

Question 5

When should I make the first cut of the year?

Accepted Answer

Wait until the lawn is actively growing and the ground is firm enough to walk on without leaving footprints; the spring guide says that is usually mid-to-late March in Mid-Missouri. For tall fescue, it recommends a 3-inch cut and taking off no more than the top third.

Question 6

How should I care for tall fescue during July and August?

Accepted Answer

The summer guide recommends mowing tall fescue at about 4 inches to shade the soil and help it hold moisture. If you water, it recommends roughly 1 inch total per week in one or two deep cycles rather than short daily watering. The guide advises against trying to force dormant fescue green during the hottest stretch.

Question 7

When is the fall overseeding window in Mid-Missouri?

Accepted Answer

The fall guide gives roughly August 20 through October 5 as the overseeding window for tall fescue in Boone, Callaway, and Cole counties. It says seed germinates best when soil temperatures are around 55–65°F, and recommends keeping fallen leaves from covering the lawn for long stretches.

Question 8

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

The FAQ lists Venmo, Zelle, and check as everyday options, cash for one-off jobs, and card payment on request. Let Roberto know at quote time if you would like to pay by card.

Question 9

What's the cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Accepted Answer

Standing customers can ask to skip or move a visit with a text the day before; the published FAQ says reschedules with reasonable notice have no charge. It lists a half-visit charge for same-day skips, and asks for 48 hours when possible for one-off cleanups and project work.

Question 10

What equipment does Roberto use?

Accepted Answer

Roberto uses commercial-grade mowers sized to the lot, keeps blades on a fixed sharpening rotation, replaces trimmer line for visits, and carries a backup mower. His service description also lists trimming, edging, and clearing clippings from drives and walks as part of a typical visit.

Question 11

What's the smallest job you'll take, and do single visits work?

Accepted Answer

The FAQ says one-time mowing, an overgrown-yard reset, and a season-end cleanup are available. It describes the smallest practical job as about 15 minutes of work; smaller tasks may fit better into a standing plan or a neighbor pairing on the same block.
